QUARTERLY MEETINGS

We meet quarterly via Zoom. Check our “Next Meeting” page for up-to-date information.

There is no cost to attend meetings, unless otherwise stated.

Most meetings offer CLE/CCLS credit.  Cost for Certificate: $10/members; $15/non-members.

OFFSETTING COSTS

Many employers pay for their employees’ dues. We encourage you to ask your employer if this is an option with
your firm.  (Remember, if you don’t ask the question,
the answer is an automatic “No.”)

WHEN AND WHERE DO WE MEET?

Our regular quarterly meetings are held  via Zoom on the second Monday of January, April, July, and November starting at 6 p.m.

WHO DO YOU CONTACT FOR MORE INFORMATION OR TO BECOME A MEMBER?

Any member of our Association should be able to
answer questions you might have about MDLPA,
and will be your sponsor should you decided to join
our Association. If you do not know someone who is
a member, contact our Membership Chairman at info@mtdiablolpa.info and he/she will be happy to answer any of your questions,
send you a membership application, sponsor you,
and help you get started!  (See below for more information.)

WHAT ARE THE MEMBERSHIP REQUIREMENTS?

Full Membership

An active member shall be a person directly engaged in work of a legal nature in California who is either: (1) licensed to practice law; (2) employed as legal support staff in the office of any attorney engaged in the practice of law; (3) employed by the courts; or (4) employed in any other institution or office providing services of a legal nature

Student Membership

A person who qualifies for student membership shall be enrolled in a course of study leading to employment in the legal profession and may maintain such Student Membership while thus enrolled.

Associate Membership

An Associate Member shall be actively seeking employment in the legal profession and may maintain Associate Membership for a period of two years. An applicant cannot apply for Associate Membership if already engaged in work of a legal nature in California and must apply for Full Membership.

You must be sponsored by at least one active member of our association (or our membership chairman can sponsor you), and you must have attended at least one meeting. Your application, along with payment of dues, may then be presented to the Board and to the General Membership for approval.

HOW MUCH DOES IT COST?

GENERAL MEMBERSHIP

Applications submitted between May 1 and November 30:
$80 (PayPal/Credit Card) or
$75 (Cash/Check)

Applications submitted on or after December 1:
$60 (PayPal/Credit Card) or
$55 (Cash/Check)

Option for Applications submitted after December 1:

1. You can join at the pro-rated price of $55 (cash/check) or $60 (credit card/PayPal). If you wish to renew your membership, you will be required to renew on May 1 and pay the appropriate renewal fee.

2. You may have the option of having your application held
until May 1, the beginning of the next fiscal year.  Fees due: $75 (cash/check) or $80 (credit card/PayPal). You are
still entitled to come to meetings and pay member prices until your application is processed on May 1.

Renewals: Membership renewal is $65 (by check/cash)
or $70 (by credit card/PayPal) and is due May 30 of each
year. Late fees apply if renewal dues are postmarked
June 1 and after.

STUDENT/ASSOCIATE MEMBERSHIP

Applications submitted between May 1 and November 30:
$67.50 (PayPal/Credit Card) or
$65 (Cash/Check)

Applications submitted on or after December 1:
$57.50 (PayPal/Credit Card) or
$55 (Cash/Check)

Option for Applications submitted after December 1:
